Let us also never forget the factor so frequently lost in the correlation-does-not-equal-causation buzz-phrase -- the factor that's deliberately meant to be buried in the equivocation of the phrase: namely, correlation more often than not suggests causation -- it's how humans, beginning at birth, learn -- and as often it bears causation out, fruitfully. Which is to say, accurately.

What you're witnessing here -- what the world is witnessing here -- is the defense of an indefensible turf. As time and history will show. As time and history are already showing.

To all unsuspecting readers, I offer you this: Whenever you hear the buzz-phrase "correlation does not equal causation" you may be absolutely assured that you're hearing the sound of grasping at straws.
